Internal Medicine & Geriatrics

At Sitka Medical Center, we provide comprehensive care to help you achieve and maintain good health.  For adults age 18 and older, an internal medicine specialist, or internist, is trained to help you manage chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, or treat a wide array of health issues, such a weight problems, sleep disorders, or respiratory illness.

Our internists are focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases, but can also coordinate care with one of our excellent medical specialists if needed.

For patients over the age of 65, we provide geriatric services to help you manage health conditions that come with aging. Our geriatric services focus on improving your ability to live as independently as possible for as long as possible while providing support and education for your family and caregivers.
